This World We Live In
by Susan Beth Pfeffer
This book is honestly one of the best books i've read in a long time. I loved the main character Miranda, even though i didn't know much about her. I didn't read the first 2 books, but i felt like i didnt need to. this one explains everything i need to know ( from what i've noticed). I loved all the characters except Syl. She was annoying and we all knew she was only married to Matt because of what he provided for her. I think during the end when they started arguing, he finally realized the mistake he made bringing her home. I loved Alex and Hal's faith in God and tomorrows. It warmed my heart. The ending really killed me though: how Miranda gave Julie the pills to make her die in her sleep and how Charlie died trying to save her. Even though Julie was gonna die anyway from the tornado, it wasn't Miranda's place or right to kill her. if only she waited one more day, so Alex could have said goodbye and done it himself.
Even though Miranda said she'll never right another diary again, i really hope the author continues the series in her point of view. I have too many questions for that. Does Alex forgive Miranda for killing his little sister who he spent most of his time protecting? Do they ever get married like they planned? How does Jon feel about loosing his first girlfriend? Does Alex stay with them the whole trip? Does he ever tell his brother Carlos about Julie?
This book deserves way more than 5 stars, because it blew my mind.
