The All of It by Jeannette Haien
3.0

"One thing I've learned...in this life it's best to keep the then and the now and the what's-to-be as close together in your thoughts as you can. It's when you let gaps creep in, when you separate out the intervals and dwell on them, that you can't bear the sorrow." Binge read before bed time

Speedy summary: Father Declan hears a shocking deathbed confession and is told the entirety of the story.

Thoughts: In this short novella, Father Declan struggles between being compassionate toward Edna over her struggles in life and moral indignation. Even with the short length, I expected the tale to be a bit more dramatic, especially upon reading the description. This book is a quiet, little character study that is a quick one sitting read.
