I loved pretty much everything about this book.
I loved the snippets of how Caleb and Briar’s relationship started. It really sets the stage for showing the similarities between how Caleb felt back then to how Dean is feeling now.
Dean and Caleb’s history also adds another layer of complication to the relationship. It’s hard not to get hooked on how these 3 navigate their newfound feelings.
The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star read was that I was expecting more for Briar. There’s so many times her passion for art is addressed. I was hoping that when the relationship started changing, there would be more of Briar advocating for more for herself. That being said, there is reference to her pursuing her masters in the epilogue, I just wanted more for her.
Also - Truett Goode sucks. That is all.
