Gentlemen Prefer Succubi
by Jill Myles
I wanted something light after getting sucked into a serious/depressing memoir. I didn't have high hopes for this one, but picked it up because the title amused me. And... it was surprisingly not terrible :-). It didn't take itself very seriously, and it was even funny. The succubi thing wasn't overdone (like it easily could have been). It actually reminded me of the Xanth novels (but without the puns) - lighthearted, with an interesting story, cartoonish over-sexed characters that were surprisingly not one-dimensional, and a tendency to poke fun at itself.
