The eater of gods

An interesting loosely reminiscent of my all time favorite movie The Mummy in setting and in that the characters are archeologists. That makes this story quickly gain my interest. Little elements here and there evoke different emotions and soon it becomes tense. You wonder throughout the story what will happen next and how will it end, keeping you glued to the pages and on the edge of your seat. The parallels drawn at the end are both a little confusing and heartbreaking at the same time. It also made me wonder what I would do had I been in the characters shoes and that was a scary thought. The characters were relatable. It plays on basic realistic human fears. It has a  creative twist on the theme. I would have like more explanation for certain things but overall a fantastic story. It’s a 4 out of 5 for me.
