Pathfinder
by Orson Scott Card
This is a very complicated book. Sometimes my brain really got a workout while reading it. I had to go back and reread some of the passages where they were explaining the time abilities and how they were doing what they were doing. I still am not sure I completely understand it all, but that is ok. I don't really have to understand the hows of it all to enjoy the book. And I did enjoy it. I stayed up half the night to finish it. Card has a fascinating mind and can write a really interesting story. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ender books and I think the Pathfinder ones will be just as enjoyable.
I thought the dual storylines were great. I loved seeing how they intertwined. Of course figuring out the whole 19 ships thing really hurt my brain but I loved Ram's story and how that fit in with Rigg's story. And Rigg's story was a lot of fun political intrigue, action, adventure, friendship, etc. Basically everything a book like this needs. The writing is great, the characters are interesting, the story is intriguing and I definitely want to keep reading the series. So this is a winner.
