One of my favourite books as a child. Very strange to listen to it nowadays. It's definitely of its time and unfortunately it didn't age well. I don't think Preußler wanted to be racist on purpose, but some parts of the story are very ill-conceived. Wouldn't read this to a child today. Sometimes you just have to let some books go for good.
