Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

2.75

i hoard the quotes from this book so very dearly to my heart.

as an asian-american myself, it was almost too easy to fear the insurmountable threats of losing your culture. and as an only daughter with not-so gentle parenting, i understood zauner more than well.

i did enjoy reading zauner’s experience with adulthood and rediscovering her past, but there were portions that troubled me. whether it was her self-centered choices or the impulsive need to elope. i think some parts were best to write down, but not share with anyone.
