this is the best book I’ve read so far in 2022. And the best romance book I’ve read yet.

As a korean immigrant of first generation myself, I could relate to Daniel and his family so much, and generally, I think all of the characters were portrayed so well.

You know how in every book there is always at least one character you really hate? It was not possible to hate anyone here (except for Charlie). Nicola Yoon gave us an insight of every character that was introduced, and even if I didn’t agree with the things they did at all, I could still understand them. And feel bad for them. And kinda relate to them.

This book was so unique as well.. I think most of the time romance books especially get a little repetitive. No that that’s necessarily a bad thing, since we all still eat it up anyway. But: it’s still refreshing to read a new type of romance and you can find that here!
Just… how even did Nicola Yoon come up with a story like that?? She’s a genius.

I don’t normally like romances that are not slowburn. And since this book was set in just one day, I never really felt the need to pick it up and read it. But, oh my god, the romance in this book is actually SO SO GOOD, it’s so beautiful and a little heartbreaking. (boy falls in love first :))

This book is truly astonishingly beautiful, the characters, their backgrounds, as well as the romance. Everyone should read it!!!
