Great story, poor execution. I find it icky how they fetishized Salander's trauma, and to top it off with the fact that she's the same age as Blomkvist daughter...it's kind of a slap in the face to the supposed morals of the story. It would've been a lot better if Salander was treated more like a main character rather than being a device for the men's desire and fantasy.

It's cool that she got her badass-save-the-day moment at the end but it ended up falling short because of these reasons imo.
