Sabaa Tahir is an incredible writer. The moral decisions forced on the characters are heart-rending but make for such a good story and some of the most complex characters I've ever read. It's not frustrating in the way I'm used to, where there is an obvious answer and the character does the opposite; it's frustrating because I, as an omniscient observer of the situation, don't even know what they should do, which is so much better. I love questions of morality and shades of gray! It's so dark for YA though.
