At Your Pleasure by Meredith Duran

4.0

Almost perfect. Meredith Duran is a phenomenal writer, no one writes the genre like she does, shocking to believe but she makes it so realistic, yeah, I know realistic historical fiction, yep. The characters are multidimensional, the settings are believable and well researched, the language is impeccable and the story well paced. The character development is so good that I found myself wanting to reach through the book and whack a few upside the head for being so... THEM! Well it takes talent to write such flawed yet respected characters. Yes this is romance, yes its steamy sometimes, but the overall feeling of melancholy develops from page one and envelops you and takes you on a lulling ride the whole time and that's exactly how it was meant to be to tell Adrian and Nora's story.

2/2 for Duran, now to order the rest of her library :)
