The War of the Worlds
by H.G. Wells
Compared to other books of the time period, War of the Worlds jumps right into the action much like more contemporary novels. The narrative structure and point of view are unique, since the first-person narrator takes a break from his own story to tell his brother's story. I enjoyed getting to know this classic.
