Another great installment in the Wheel of Time, but with flaws in my opinion. I wanted to love this book like I had the previous three entries. For me, this is where Jordan began showing his tendencies and the slog starts to creep in. It has its thrilling moments, but the pacing is bit rough. During my 2023 listen through the series, I occasionally found myself rolling my eyes and wanting to fast forward. Don’t get me wrong, I liked this fifth book a lot. Just a let-down compared with book 4.
