The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner

2.0

1.5/5. Story premise was interesting but execution was tepid at best. Characters lacked unique voices and were interchangeable. The atmosphere was thread bare and setting was lacking. The author made London feel boring given her description. It almost felt like she was writing London having never seen it herself. Also, the obsession with marriage and babies was annoying. Three female characters with a lack of backbone between all of them. Just didn’t sit well with me as a reader.
