“To believe in some magic is to believe in all.”

At its core this is a love letter to Harlem, and a remarkable one at that. The magical realism combined with the history and soul mate level romance was just absolutely mind blowing to me. I was hooked from the first page and fell head first into one of the most powerful stories about love, in all its forms, that I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.

I cried 6 times. SIX. Do yourself a favor and read this 😭🫶

“To me, love is like listening to an album. Some people skip to their favorite songs and ignore the rest. Other people listen to the entire album over and over, until it's familiar and cherished and they know every note by heart.”
