This is one of the best historical romance series I’ve ever read. It’s thoroughly enjoyable with an original storyline and exceedingly steamy scenes. Highly recommended. :)

This is the second installation in the Highland Pleasures series and… unfortunately I think I liked the first one a bit more, although I still give this a solid 4.5 stars.

I had one single issue that is slightly spoiler-ish so I’ll hide it.

Once Isabella and Mac were practically living as man and wife once again and he sought to re-establish their marriage and she proceeded to get outraged… I wanted to smack her. Come on. I appreciated that she didn’t immediately fall head over heels back in love with him but I do think she took far too much time to get to that point.
