Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

5.0

I absolutely loved this book. I have to say, as soon as I cought up with the behaviour of Amma and Adora something in me told me that there was something wrong with them and they totally were at fault. But the way this book is written just makes you want to read more and more and more, you never want it to end even if it's brutal and sickening. Maybe that is what makes it so original and creepy, just how I like it.

I have to say it tho: I HATE RICHARD WITH MY WHOLE HEART.

with that being said, i hate everybody in that godforsaken town because I think all of them deep down knew about Adora and her weird behaviour, especially her friends. there is just something about small towns that makes you want to scream: the way that they want to keep everything hush hush but at the same time all of your business is told as soon as it happens. Somebody can say there is nothing like Christian love, I would say there is nothing like a small town love and you can only understand it if you live in one and you've been there you're whole life. And the worst part is, like our Camille, you can't run from it, even if you escape to Chicago.
