It feels good to read a book after a long hiatus because life's getting all trippy and crazy and busy. Now that I am free from everything it feels good to be back at my favourite place, READING.

So talking about this then I really liked the book, but Finlay's debut novel was something else entirely. The book has its pros and cons.

The book has some really good plot twists which kept me hooked, and the process and the setting is well maintained. The last 50 pages were a sweet ride. Surprised me enough to keep me hooked at the very last.

Although holding a solid plot, the book bored me a lot in the middle chapters. So much unnecessary character developments just to add the word count. I guessed the killer at the very beginning of the book, but it was interesting to see the other threads/sub-plots winding up (because there are a lot of things going on other than the main mystery).

Overall it was a good read. A little bit slow I'd say—medium paced—but worth the read.
