The Maze Runner
by James Dashner
The Maze Runner is an original story - at times a little tedious and monotonous with the same themes and phrasing - but all in all a fun read. To me, the last 20 pages of the book were the most interesting, setting up the next book in the series. Not sure if I'm going to read that or not. The best parts were the descriptions of the maze itself, which will make a visually rich movie. Now that I'm thinking about the book as a whole, I kind of wish there were more hints about what is leading up to book two throughout rather than just the final pages. I was not so jazzed with all the kids being killed, although I don't think the kids who read this book would mind it so much.
