A Touch of Darkness
by Scarlett St. Clair
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about a Hades and Persephone retelling. I love mythology and was worried it would feel like a remake of a favorite childhood movie, but I was wrong. I loved this book. I am still getting accustomed to spice in my books and there were definitely parts that made me blush, but the story was so well done, it didn’t even phase me. The FMC POV feels authentic and the dialogue flows effortlessly. It is fun to imagine these gods in the modern era. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
