Clarissa: Or the History of a Young Lady
by Samuel Richardson
Reading with friends, Noteworthy Books with Nicole on You tube. Being that this is an epistolary book coming in at over 1500 pages someone had the idea of a group read following the dates on the letters reading this book throughout the year. So if she sends or receives a letter on a current day we will read the letter and if not skip that day. I'm already behind a couple of days getting a start. This should be interesting.
Update: April 1st, 2025...Even though this is April Fool's Day I am tossing in the towel on this book. The author is quite the loquacious writer. The concept of the book is an epistolary and I can't imagine anyone writing letters in the 1700's had this much to say about any subject. I wish my fellow readers all the best of keeping on with this novel but for me, I just can't hang.
