i liked that the main character was messy and real. she didn’t have it all together, especially her emotions and that made her more real and beautifully flawed. also i discovered that i could never be a catfish bc that would stress me out so fucking much. i didn’t really like kat’s friends until more than halfway through. it felt like they didn’t even like her and they just seemed disrespectful and rude to her for much of the book. i feel like this book captured what it means to not have it all figured out while everyone around you does. i wish that we got to see more of her grandparents bc they seemed like the only people who actually liked to spend time with kat for half the book. i wish that we got to see more of kat’s inner struggles and her quest to better herself at the end as well as more of her journey as someone who is exploring their sexuality.
