Good second volume of this Red Rising prequel. There are a few breadcrumbs the fans will pick up on. I personally can see how what
Fitchner saw at the shipyards can be a hint as to what Quicksilver is up to on Oculus in Iron Gold, Dark Age, and the soon to be released Light Bringer and Red God.  Quicksilver wants to expand beyond the solar system.

My favorite story was the backstabbing mother/daughter story on Ganymede. It really showed what is wrong with the Golds. My favorite quote was from the mother,
"She was a dreamer, Fitchner, in a world where only practicality bears fruit."

While I enjoyed the stories I still hate the artwork. It's sloppy and rudimentary. The faces are undefined and the action hard to decipher.

3 out of 5 Shipbuilders.
