This was not what I was expecting...it was better.

I judged the book by it's cover and thought...oh cozy little book about women who sew. So wrong. While there are plenty of cozy moments Susan Wiggs creates through the pages of this book, there are many other moments (more towards the end) that I was hanging on the end of my seat.

Caroline Shelby is far from your typical small town girl. Or is she really? This book gives you not only her present situations, but brings you back to her childhood and shows you how she turned out to be the strong woman she is in present day.

After having her world turned completely upside down, she returns to her small hometown with two extra people in tow. The one person that she is hoping she can avoid the most is the one she sees within her first few seconds of being in town, Will Jensen.

Will Jensen is the town hero, Navy SEAL and now HS football Coach. He's married to the Pastor's daughter, Sierra. And life is grand. Or is it?

Caroline, Sierra and Will were summer best friends. They spent every moment together during the summer days. And then they went their separate ways after high school. Caroline went to be a big time fashion designer in New York City, Sierra went to college and then started modeling for big time gigs, and Will went to college and joined the Navy.

Somehow, Will and Sierra bring their lives together and get married. But Caroline stays gone until her world comes to a crashing stop. Back in her hometown will the three best friends stay friends or will things begin to fall apart?

Susan Wiggs does and outstanding job of creating a safe space in this wonderful book.
I look forward to reading more of her books.
