The Accidental Further Adventures of the Hundred-Year-Old Man by Jonas Jonasson

1.0

This was very disappointing. I had thoroughly enjoyed the first Hundred-Year-Old Man book, so I was excited to see what Allan would get up to in the sequel. However, it ended up being 300+ pages of boring plot and one too many jabs at world leaders. The hilarity of this old man being witness to important historical events became completely lost when applied to current times, and reading this novel often felt like a strange, convoluted rehash of world news events from two years ago. Jonasson should have left his protagonist live in the glory of the first book.
