A fun read! I think Score developed her characters really well, giving readers enough time to get to know them from multiple perspectives and understand their various personality traits. Also, her pacing of the plot was really enjoyable, offering the audience space to absorb and process scenes, most of which contributed to the forward momentum of the story and provided valuable context about the people, places, and circumstances within the novel. Further, I appreciated that the third-act conflict was based on unhealed traumas that one can learn to navigate and cope with, especially with the help of loved ones, rather than miscommunication or jealousy or external forces. This made Naomi and Knox’s relationship feel deeper and its problems more solvable. I look forward to reading the next book!
