It's probably been 8-10 years since I have read Harry Potter, so I decided it is time for a re-read! It is also my desperate attempt to get used to audiobooks--I figured I would start with stories I know, so if I miss something, it's no biggie...
Onto the review! What can I ever say about HP1? It is still as magical and wonderful at 26 years old as it was when I was a kid. Books like these are so nostalgic and still warm my heart all these years later. While it is still, in my opinion, an amazing novel, I did knock off a star. This is simply because as an adult, I find the story a little less plausible and a bit "young." Obviously, the target audience is much younger than I am, but I want these new rankings to be how I see them now. After this first quick read, I am more than ready to keep following Harry's adventures through the next six books!
