The Ghost and Mrs. McClure by Cleo Coyle, Alice Kimberly

4.0

This seemed like such a hokey book when I looked at it. But, it drew me in and was a pleasant and quick read. A combination of 40's Detective novel and current day mystery. Jack, a detective from the past is now a ghost that reigns in Mrs. McClure's bookstore. She soon discovers that she can hear him in her thoughts and grows to accept his advice when trying to solve a murder that happened in the book store. It was a bit quirky and unbelievable, but that is what made it fun. I am ready to read book #2.
