definitely a lot darker than her other works but that is a given since these were near her death, which might have been why i found the imagery and descriptions a bit complicated but maybe im too silly and cool to understand. i did enjoy the gloomy atmosphere throughout and her focus on nature which is quite unlike ariel. i felt like gigolo and by candlelight were probably my favourites, i particularly enjoyed her use of religious imagery and sea animals in gigolo. the three women section was gorgeous i just wish the radio play was available. i wouldn't decsribe this as a nice read since it was quite difficult at points, interpretation and emotion wise, but i overall enjoyed reading it.
