I really liked the narrator. I thought it was interesting how especially in the first part of the book she was almost invisible as a character. For me it took a while for the plot to get going, and it wasn’t the most engaging story. But I really liked the narrator’s observations on love and loneliness and friendship. The anti Catholic stuff was A Lot, though.
