I adored this book, overall. I love how Abby Jimenez said in her review: the true enemies to lovers is between our main character and New York City. The way that New York City is described is so perfect and lovely. I immediately wanna spend some time in these places. (I especially love that the High Line was highlighted – it is one of the most charming places on earth!)

I love the romance. While the book is mostly plot, I was giggling and kicking my feet throughout most of it. I love a slow burn and I love banter and this delivered! There is spice, but it is contained within its two or three scenes. I would call this mid spice.

The one thing I didn’t really like was anyone doing so much and getting nothing in return. In reality, if they’re not attractive or rich, they would be a stalker. But honestly, both sides of relationship should be doing special things for each other and I’d like to have seen more of that. Also, if I were to have an opinion on some things to have someone constantly jumping on board without a discussion, I’d be very uncomfortable.

So, this book is great as long as you don’t overanalyze reality too much. I’m so glad I read it. I had a great time and I would definitely recommend to others if they are craving something sweet in the city.
