I’ve wasted so much time trying to love this series. Fourth Wing by no means was an excellent read. However, it had the oomphf that IF and OS fail to deliver. At the least FW was entertaining and interesting to keep you immersed in the story. Iron Flame would have done that had the miscommunication and repetitiveness not been so prevalent. Onyx Storm was basically a frickin retelling of the IF. We have no new information provided that is of importance. There sure was a whole lot of filler content though! Character development was as flat as the earth is to conspiracy theorists and I blame that on the fact there were a trillion of them introduced within the first half. Sticking with this being a trilogy could’ve easily made this a solid entry into the fantasy world for RY. The check her publisher sent doesn’t match her pen game🤷🏾‍♂️
