A Ghostly Light by Juliet Blackwell

5.0

This is one of my favorite series and one of my favorite authors. I know when I pick up a book by Juliet Blackwell, I am going to be in for an excellent ride. And I always learn something. Mel Turner, the main character, is all about keeping as much of the original of each historic house she renovates as possible, researching about its past and bring the place to its former glory.
I also like how she balances everything as well as she can. She has family, friends, a new relationship, running her renovation business and working with the ghosts that are around her. She's learning how to deal with each new event.
I get to visit San Francisco and the surrounding area through her eyes. I'd like to visit one day, but I will continue virtually visiting via Juliet's two series set in that remarkable city.
I've not read the books in order and it didn't diminish my enjoyment. I'd happily read or listen to this series again.
I like this series as it's as much about the renovation and the relationships and the research as much as it is about the spirits that inhabit the pages.
I can most definitely recommend this book, this series and this author.
