All Different Kinds of Free by Jessica McCann
5.0

All Different Kinds of Free draws you into the story, with conflict the entire story. It's more than a story of slavery, it's a story of a Supreme Court decision regarding states rights regarding crossing state lines to 'retrieve' slaves. Besides a good read, it seems to be thoroughly researched and well written. The story will stay with you. The total injustice and unfairness of slavery comes vividly to the forefront. But at the core is a great character through whom we see a different world.
