The Killing Code by Ellie Marney

5.0

I loved that the girls use their codebreaking training to solve a murder. It's an unlikely alliance of girls, but they each bring something important to the group. The simmering romance between Moya and Kit really hooked me, as did the ever-increasing tension as more girls turned up missing.

The story hits the right balance between its historical setting, the suspense elements, and the powerful tale of relationships between women. Definitely a triumph. Definitely worth a read for fans of Elizabeth Wein or Ruta Sepetys.
