An enthusiastic 7.5 out of 10 from me.
To be fair, it only ranks this low because of how annoying I found some of the main cast, to the point that they almost felt like caricatures. I understand why Erik acts the way that he does, but he is soooo annoying. Raoul would feel relatable if his character were a 14 year old and he acts as such.
Nevertheless, I loved this book and think it’s absolutely worth a read! The mystery behind the phantom and the enigma of the maze-esque opera house itself far outweigh any minor grievances.
