The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler

2.0

I'm not the biggest fan of this book. I didn't like how there was a lot of unresolved issues
Virginia didn't explain to Froggy about why she stopped talking to him, the parents basically brushed off what Virginia's brother did, her brother wasn't really told off for the way he spoke about Virginia or him not wanting to hang out with her, Brie possibly having an eating disorder was mentioned but by the end of the book no help given to her,

I wish there were more scenes were Virginia talked about loving herself for who she was and knew that she didn't have to lose weight for any reason other than because she wants to. I also wish there were more scenes with Virginia's sister. She was the only positive/nonjudging person in Virginia's family life and maybe a scene with her would have been beneficial to Virginia's character.

Overall, I didn't really enjoy my read of this book.
