Before She Knew Him by Peter Swanson

5.0

4.5 - only because I give 5 stars to books I would reread and I am happy with the one-and-done nature of this story. I listened to the audiobook read by Sophie Amoss and she did a great job.

The story could be considered predictable to those who are avid fans of this genre, but I plugged in, turned my brain off and just had a good time. The way it’s written makes it easy to do that - fairly fast paced, new information learned in every chapter, although a little 2-dimensional I did like a majority of the characters, and the switching POVs kept things interesting as well.

This was a fun ride, and looking back you can definitely recall moments or throw-away lines that foreshadowed the ending - again, probably would be considered predictable by those well-read in this genre but I enjoyed the journey nonetheless
