Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar

4.0

This was a really cute book that I really enjoyed. I liked the relateable-ness of both of the characters, as in them being high school girls with really dramatic friends. On the other hand, it was also fun and interesting to read about their Bengali and Muslim cultures. I realized while reading that you actually don't often see couples in media that have the same race. One of them always has to be white, so this was very refreshing. I never cried, but I definitely got emotional at some points.
Spoiler I did feel that their first kiss was a tad out of the blue, and it felt almost unnatural.
Regardless, it was still a nice read and I would probably pick it up again sometime.
