Foxglove Summer by Ben Aaronovitch
4.0

A great edition to the series. Peter is out of London and on his own (mostly) in this edition as he investigates the disappearance of two girls in the countryside. I originally gave this 3 stars because I felt the book was lacking with the absence of Nightingale, Lesley, Molly and the London backdrop. But in retrospect I really enjoyed getting Peter more or less on his own and in a different environment. His character is developing really well and needed the escape after the events of the last book. We also got more of Beverly in this as she joined Peter in countryside as backup. I love her character and can't wait to read more of her. (minor)
Spoiler Peter and Bev do get together in this one and I love it! The romance between them is great. I like that she's not made out to be just a 'hot female the protagonist is requited to bang' nor is she some epic soul-mate. They are just two awesome people who like each other and are now together. I doubt they'll be together the entire series, but I'd be happy either way
. I also really liked the mystery and investigation.

This was the first one where I listened to the audiobook and I loved the narration.
