"Favourite?"
"Your favourite murder."
"Normal people don't have favourite murders. Not all of us are inept losers who live vicariously through the monsters of the world. Some of us learn from them, and then catch the people who copy them."

Twisted copy cat killer of some famously known killers today, Ella Dark gets assigned this case with a older detective; Mia Ripley, known to Dark as one of the better ones, who she lowkey looks up to.

Ella is different, in a bad way in my opinion. Her attitude is annoying, I enjoy what she brought to the story, I just think she is an unlikeable character.

Ripley on the other hand, also quite annoying, but I do see her view on most things. While reading I forsure was getting annoyed with Dark's actions and behavior secondhand.

The killer.

I didn't see that coming, I was for sure it was going to be that one, until I took into consideration how much of the book there still was.

A few questions were left unanswered for me, I will provide them below.

What happened to the guard watching the house? Was there actually a girl in the bed or did Austin just assume there was and forget? IF there was, how did she not wake up to a literal fight beside her. Maybe I was so invested in the story I skipped these parts, and they were answered for me.

In the end, my rating won't be a full 5 stars because I do not like Ella. She's written to be liked, and I did not enjoy her. The plot is good, a little eh when you remember all the REAL LIFE families of victims and what not. The suspense was there, it just took a little while to get there.
