French Fancy by Lily Morton

5.0

I gotta say that I enjoyed this ALOT!!!

5 stars all around!

Joel Leslie is an amazing narrator when it comes to contemporary stories (I don't have the same experience with his narrations in paranormal/fantasy ones) and he was fantastic here.

Although I was taken aback by the way the word "migraine" was pronounced. I always say it as "maɪ-" (as in eye) and not "mee-" (as in do re mi). Oh well being bilingual in English means that my English is an amalgamation monstrosity of British and American English.

Back to the story, I truthfully enjoyed Pip's vividness and along with Olivier's wonderment and wickedness this was a beautiful romance!

Everything written below for when I read the book continue to apply here with the added bonus of a gifted narrator!!

4.5 stars rounding down.

Wonderful MCs, lots of snark and banter balanced perfectly with everyday little moments of happiness and contentment, beautiful imagery of the South of France, lovely side characters and cameos of favorites, hints of pairings to come and a romance for the ages with 2 MCs that had incredible chemistry and complemented each other in the best of ways!!!

Really this was a lovely, contemporary romance, everything you expect from Lily!
