I don’t know where to start honestly, but this is most deserving of a five star. Opal Reyne and her Duskwalkers have snuggled their way into my heart. I’m used to the protective cinnamon rolls she writes however the MMC, Nathair, is different. He has a traumatic past much like the FMC, Linh, and both are in for a whirlwind ride of change upon encountering each other.
The common theme between the two that had my heart in a chokehold was both characters exhibiting “I am broken and hurt, but I don’t deserve to be treated this way.” It felt as if this was the anchor for themselves as well as each other and I believe the reader will quickly find a way where that resonates in their own lives.
Such an immersive and fantastic world being explored in book 7, but I didn’t expect anything less to be honest. This series deserves to be read and re-read again and again.
