Okay so it was slightly better than Just One Night. I was frustrated and so done with the push and pull bullshit. Also, not Gage blaming Lauren for everything that went wrong in his life and resenting her for it. Also not him being pissed and jealous that she had slept with other guys in the decade they'd been broken up when he was in a marriage of convenience for years and also slept around. There's definitely some minor other women drama, which I found fuxking unnecessary. The reason Lauren broke up with him was bland af, I wish it had been something juicy but nope. They each had their secrets and honestly by the time they're revealed you've already figured them out and so they come out flat and unsurprising. This Lauren was lowkey annoying and nowhere near the cool and collected Lauren from the previous book. I also found the whole creepy landlord Ronnie unnecessary. I actually liked Kyle and Lauren's interactions/bickering. The ending felt rushed and the timeline from the last chapter to the epilogue doesn't add up. There was slightly more smut than in Just One Night.
