I enjoyed this but not as much as I wanted to, and I’m not sure why it didn’t quite hit for me! I loved the characters, loved the setting, loved the politics. I think the plot didn’t completely work for me - too many different details that felt a little random and unresolved (

the prizefighting and the green book of blackmail notes, for example

) paired with details that conversely were too tidy (

Scarlett’s identity, for example

). I will always deeply love how Cat Sebastian writes dialogue and feelings and vibes.
