A Savage Curse by Olivia Fox

I have decided after a couple of books, I am not sure about this writer's work. I felt like the dialogue was childish, or cartoonish. Maybe stereotypical would be a better word.

This story was not as detailed as I would have thought.. Did Eva ever tell Roberto why he found her the way he did? His mother couldn't look her in the eye. Why? The sisters were completely excepting with no hesitation. Eva was used as a bargaining chip. Was there any resolution to that situation? Wouldn't someone in Roberto's position have her thoroughly investigated? Whatever happened with Eva's grandmother? And what about all of these rituals? What's the explanation other than they were ancient family rituals?

This left me with way too many unanswered questions.
