Truly a book of conflicting emotions. The more I read about the Kaul family and the culture of Kekon, the more I don't like them, but also the more invested I feel in seeing what they get up to next. I cried, or felt choked up, multiple times in the last 200 pages of this book. I would love to read a fanfic or something from fonda lee herself, that shows the whole trilogy from the mountain's perspective. I feel like that would be incredibly interesting to see. My biggest issue with this book is the massive time jumps, I would have loved to see more of certain characters at certain times. This could have easily been split into 2 or 3 books. Some much happens! Overall, this is a fitting climax and I wouldn't have it end any other way, I just wish the journey was a bit longer.
