Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

If you're a fan of The Haunting of Hill House, think the British are creepy AF, or are wary of mushrooms, you'll like this book. I'm all three of those and I enjoyed it.

Having said that, it is very predictable, and not in a spooky "oh no this'll happen and they don't know it" way. I'm by no means a horror expert and I guessed 70% of it. it also has a bit of a tendency to over-explain. Having said that, it is solid mushroom horror.
