Blind Owl by Sadegh Hedayat
5.0
Some subtle goriness and extreme sensuality.
Dark, yet fluttery and lyrical language - perfect for the madness the story takes you through.
A lot of repetition at times, especially with metaphors the narrator likes to use, but I kind of enjoyed it because it took me back to all the other times it was used, although sometimes the repetition of earlier scenes would confuse me for a few seconds. Certainly not a happy story, but the language made me enjoy it immensely. It sounds great in audiobook format.
